Privacy Policy for BatteryMeter

This Privacy Policy describes how the BatteryMeter application (“the App”, package com.passi.chargemeter) handles information.

Summary

BatteryMeter does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. Everything the App reads stays on your device.

Information the App Accesses

To display battery statistics, the App reads real-time battery information provided by the Android operating system, including:

Battery level and charging status (charging, discharging, full, not charging)
Power source / plug type (AC, USB, wireless)
Electrical current, voltage, and calculated power
Charge counter and estimated capacity
Battery temperature
Estimated time to full/empty and charge/discharge rate

This information is read directly from the Android system (via the ACTION_BATTERY_CHANGED broadcast and the BatteryManager API). It is:

Processed only in memory while the App is open,
Displayed only on your screen, and
Never written to persistent storage, and never sent off your device.

When you close the App, this data is discarded.

Permissions

The App declares no Android permissions. In particular, it does not request the INTERNET permission and therefore has no ability to send data over a network.

Data Sharing

The App does not:

Collect personal or sensitive user data
Use analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs
Contain any network communication
Share any information with the developer or any third party

Children’s Privacy

The App does not collect any data from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

Data Deletion

Because the App does not collect or store any personal data, there is no user data to delete. Uninstalling the App removes it entirely from your device.

Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this document.
